I had a pretty hefty crash yesterday when I was a fair way out. Kite landed hard, promptly deflated and sucked in half the ocean so no chance of an easy self rescue.

I thought I was shark feed but a very tall guy called Matt kindly body dragged us both all the way to shore. Massive thanks dude, you saved my neck!
And to the guy who picked up my board, big thanks to you to.
Humbled.

That's 2 slabs and 2 beers in my book. 1 slab for each rescuer and a couple for yourself!

Glad it turned out ok.

Hey Ben,
Just stumbled across this thread,
No worries dude, I'm sure you would have done the same

Stoked your board was handed in too! Hope the kite wasn't too damaged.

Always good to hear people looking out for each other

Hmm that's an interesting point. A rescue always counted as a slab, but if 2 people help is it 2 slabs or half a slab each? I'm confused...
