Thanks Nick I'm going to enjoy this bottle of Scotch
Picking up your board and returning it to you twice from the tide was my pleasure. Both times it went out real far.
Next time you see me come and have a chat and we can work on the upwind body drag and I'll give some tips.
Do put a kids floaty under the handle of your board it makes the board more prone to being blown down wind and a lot easier to spot.

Bit off topic, but what is the best way to pick up someone's lost board. Tried a few different ways, but struggled with the water start.

Been covered soo many times, most recently about a month ago.

Had a go at trying to pick up a wayward surfboard while riding strapless the other day in surf with a strong out going current (Maroochy RM). A few of us had a go...seemed near impossible, any tips at retrieving a board when your unstrapped?.

Lay the surfboard across the top of your arms, then water start. Wax down is easiest.
