Woohoooo - just found this snippet on another site :

" In the WA governments wonderful wisdom they are planning on building an island port for heavy shipping out in the middle of Cockburn Sound.

At the moment size wise they are talking around 2.6km long and 700 meters wide being dumped in the middle of the sound and 10 million cubic meters of seabed and seagrass being dredged. (plus a 1km road and rail causeway out there)."

2.6kms plus a 1km causeway - WOW
Bring it on

Hey puppet. Should be good for beach 1, but they are using both sides of the man made island plus installing a bridge. It's pretty much infront of Alcoa and the little camp ground down there. The other thing they are talking about is wind turbine's on the island. So you won't be able to kite behind it.

Not sure how much more shipping will take place and what the shipping route will be, but I'm guessing it won't impact on us too much.
