yes snowboarding is mad ass but only if you take it to the next level - backcountry, mad tree runs, steep chutes or cliff drops. Cruising a groomer is not mad.
Sure, I would prefer to burn some steep tree runs in a metre of pow, or be spat out of a 5 second barrel at HT's than do a pull up boost in the river on my twinnie...
BUTTTT... I would prefer a nice long desert left on my surfboard and 6m catalyst than trying to hold an edge on a icy groomer with no features.
unfortunately, in reality heli-boarding is the domain of pro's and the wealthy... and for most, simply a pipedream.
board sports all compliment each other and if you do each to a decent level, you should love them all, almost equally....and you will simply crave the discipline you havent done recently.
agree, the Brainfarm films are top notch and fantastic to watch in HD.
