Al Kiter is not an "ISM", its not for people who need to beleive in hero's, and heirarchy sytems (even though there are Al Kiters who have achieved legendary status like Bin Cuben).
The Legends that surround Bin Cuben are propogated and maintained by the sour negativity of the Poleclans and their teamprawns constant rubbishing and bashing of anything that threatens the rivers of poly derived gold.
Al Kiter is not a cult, even though you RalInn may think it is, your view is more a reflection of your own beliefs than it is of the the reality of the Al Kiters. The need to feel part of a group is the domain of the Poleclans and the teamprawns, these poor souls are the ones most likely to do a group snuff under a big poly tarp.
Al Kiters are soulkiters and respect the ancient lines, they know where the source of the Power of Al Kiter comes from. If Bin Cuben fails in his endeavours to deliver a better, shinier source of transmission of the Power, Al Kiters will just move on, they are free spirits, not bound to beliefs, fancy badges or big prices.
They kite for the freedom and to spread the joy of being terrorised by the Power of Al Kiter
Just to add an end to this saga of the impending appearance of Bin Cuben, the Power of Al kiter is the Wind, and since we all worship the wind, we are all connected and therefore should be more tolerant and co-operative.
So if you kite and the wind is your friend, then you are part of the infinite Al kiter network, regardless of whether you still worship the Pole, stinkboat, cable whatever.
