For WA conditions and using both using a twin tip and a surfboard

IMHO (which noone generally gives a t0ss about)

3 kite quiver = 6m 9m 12m

2 kite Quiver = 7m 10m

1 kite quiver(not really a quiver) = 9m

If you're on a surfboard 7m-13m will rock you life.
It yoh TT goh yoh dang 9 m-16m set.
If you eat pies and can ride, go 2m or 3m larger than.

If I lived i WA I would go 6m and 9M and and take the light wind days off or just get a cheap 12m. I am 85Kg

Sammy - I like the 2 kite quiver idea - less complicated and easy choices to be made on any given day - I think the 7 and 10m probably ideal for WA.

riding a 6m (2008) and 9m (2010) switchblade atm, feel I need something in between, so figure a 7m and 10m given the great wind ranges in the newer kites. Sometimes a bit underpowered on the 6m (tt) and overpowered on the 9m (surfing only). Love the SBs, what's better than a SB, I didn't think there was much better ?

So a forgiving 7m kite for 18-35+kn (and those nasty 40+kn squalls) ? and a powerful (fast turning) 10m for 14-25kn

Where can I try those kites RPM ? I have read some good reviews ?

Demoing has its limitations due to minimal range of conditions, tend to read as many reviews as possible.

Think that the problem with 2 kite quivers in WA is that you usally end up having a kite either side of the usual winds in WA. Really depends if you want to get out in 15kn or not.

If the $$ is no object go for a 3 kite quiver and build it around a 9-10M.

You will find that there are still quite a number of 15-16 kn days either side of peak summer, my guess is that you will be struggling on a 10m open C type of kite? (read RPM) You would be suprised how often you see 11,12m kites out.

I currently have a 8m RPM and a 11m REV2. I kite alot in summer (oct-april), at least 2-3 sessions a week and im split maybe 60% 8m and 40% 11M.

The 8M RPM is just gold in 22-25 knots. And the 11m is great in 14-20, by then i prefer to change but is ok up to 25.

There was a handful of session that i felt the 8m was too big, and i say if you plan on traveling up north make sure you have a 6,7m on hand.

Depending on the $$ situation, im planning on a 8,10,12RPM quiver or even a 6,10,12 (mixed 09s+10s) but before i go down that path want to try both the C4 and GTS and maybe the Naish Park. (A 7, 9, 11 C4 quiver in wa would be heaven)

You really need to adjust your quiver sizing for the type of kite you purchase.
