got to test ride a 9 rev yesterday in 25 knts -
great feel very direct and lite to turn with a huge wind range by the feel of it it was gusting to over 30 knts and it was easy to deal with that.
very simple bar and only 4 lines - i reckon its a great option for waves
disclaimer - i am a fuel rider but think i go to the rev for the waves this season -
another
guy i was with was on the 7 m and had plenty of power - he is a fuel lover as well but is raving about the rev and its performance for surf

Q.
Would a 9m Rev get me out in around the same stuff my 11m 05 fuel does?

Yes and no, how's that for not an answer.. It won't have quite as much power, hmm it's an 05 maybe it does.. But you will be able to generate the same bottom end by working the kite since it moves so quickly and easily... Are you an active flyer or just dive and park?? All depends, best bet is get yourself a run on one

Why change kites so quickly from the"link" to this new rev?
Is it because the link is actually as sh!t as I thought?

Probably!

Hey Dave. Any demos around Melbourne? Last time I asked RPS they seemed to think that they wouldn't be getting one.
Cheers, Carl.

I have heard that the REV has been developed for SS to get over the Link Fiasco - something that they would soon like to forget.
For me I would only buy one once they're into their second season - just in case they need a new "Red Bridle" or something...

Demo 11M in stock

The REV is nothing like the Link. I know, as I sold a red bridled Link yesterday.

The Link is still a great kite, once the red bridle is fitted and all kites should have it. I have one 12M Link left, they are a steal.

The REV does not need a bridle revision, the REV is one of the better kites I have flown, ever, and one of the best this season, heaps of diehard Slingy Fuel people will move from C's to this kite!!!
