I love it. "There may be a GOD" turns into "Highlights of Spike Milligan / Monty Python". While I revert to the original topic here, I leave it open for someone to ad the monty python humour for me.
paulio, I too think there may be a GOD. Yesterday alone I witnessed the following miracles take place:
1 There was enough N'ly wind at Wello by late morning to get up and going (albeit in my kookness slightly downwind)
2 When the fangs of a PL Venom came along and flew up into my lines

my prayers were answered. The fangs (LE) only hooked 2 of my lines which caused my kite turn away from the Venom. The light wind then alowed the lines to just kind of bump along the LE of the Venom until free.
3 The wind came up more and I ended up having a blast on my CO2 17m, lunch, and then a blast on my 13m Diesel.

4 Went out for my last run when my arms could take no more and then wammo, my SS surefire spreader bar releases on me and I'm riding unhoooked. Let go of the bar and messed around trying to reset the lever on the bar so I could ride back in. The release meachinism wouldn't latch (work of the devil) so I tried to launch unhooked but was too stuffed to hold onto the bar. The miracle could have been the guy on the X2 who stopped by to check I was ok (thanks heaps!), however due to the v. low tide I could just stand up even though I was out on the western side of the spit. (That's a miracle for me in that location. When I was a "superkook" and downed my kite out there it ended in a 30 min swim while dragging my kite)
To sum up the day

. It could easily have been very different though.
Maybe my good fortune will continue and Slingshot will cover the spreader bar failure under warranty? Hope so as I find it great to have the release mechanism in exactly the same place no matter what kite I'm using.
Roll on summer!
