Then watch this clip of Chasta in action with the 07 Frenzy from Ozone, in the French Alps.
Amazing jumps and kite loop landings!

Thanks Steve, inspirational.

What wind speed you recon.....8 knots or so?

Got to be a master of those loop transitions.........an error and oh my!

Next they'll be taking land boards to the alps in Summer. The winds are just so unpredictable in the mountains...and that's the real scary bit.

Bump as I have asked a question.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katabatic_wind

They wait until they get a clear indication that a catabtic wind has started, you can see it in some of their vids, that light mist flowing down the mountain. Or the reverse, where there is a light wind blowing up the valley, they are kiting in. Chasta and the Ozone guys are super careful to pick the ideal winds for these film shoots and for all their 'big' kite snowkiting.
The guys know how to kite for sure, they demonstrate exceptional kite handling skills, and they are equipped with the best, most thoroughly researched and developed kites in the world, by Ozone!

Yeah I reckon its 8-12 knots, no more.

Thank you so much Steve, you are my hero....learned something new

Rare frequency kiting, so I guess one has got to hang out in the Alps and wait for the right wind

Take one:
At first i thought "yeah cool", "lucky bastards" then in the last half of the video i thought "holy ** - that's freaking incredible"

Take two:

AT first i thought "only a kiter would appreciate the skill in what they are doing", "i doubt a punk snowboarder would look twice" then after the trick and kite loop/flying section I thought "damn -every punk arse will be doing this soon!"

UNF%$KENBELIEVABLE!

I'm so glad I'm someones hero that made my moment mate. :-)

I reckon they must get a fair bit of that sort of wind at certain times of the year, there are certainly a fair amount of videos showing people kiting with big kites in light winds in the Euro Alps.
And I guess it would help to be able to hang out in the French Alps and similar places waiting and chasing girls.

wow...
Smooth, precise, everything is perfectly under control, they make it look easy as pie (when we know better), this simply is BEAUTIFUL kiting...
Each time I re-watch it, I just can't believe how bloody high they are... and how much a f*ck up would hurt!!!!!
Impressive....

WOW WOW and WOW! Gotta be the closest thing there is to flying. I think I'm a few years off yet (like about 10) but that is definitely my end goal...
