Just came back from trigg (the SW is cranking) and there are about 10 little tiger sharks (around the 2m mark) playing within ten meters from the shore. Well worth a look if you are close by as they are so close to the beach! Just imagine if these things were NOT endangered!!!
Had a kite in the air and a foot in the water at 2pm at Contacios when the beach patrol applied the beach closed rule. He was polite, I was polite, bottom line was he could fine me if I entered the water. Took the line of least resistance and went down the coast to Floz for a great session. Didn't get eaten. WTF? My risk assessment was the pack was well downwind, wind was pumping, it was as safe as the sea ever is, least we knew where the sharks were.
