move towards the kite whilst pulling on the 5Th line until the kite rolls on its back, once the kite is on its back pull on one of the outside lines gently until the kite is at the edge of the window then pull on the same line a little harder and the kite should relaunch as normal.

pull on a steeering line and pull in some 5th line at the same time, itl half roll over and start driftin to edge, keep pullin on both til its on edge of window.

I find pulling the 5th line from above the bar is better as any slack doesn't get wrapped or caught around you when it feeds back again on launching.

What kind of kite do you have? Are you talkin about very low winds?

Be careful with 'hot launching' on an old C too. Unless there is a wave likely to shred ya baby then go for the work to the edge style relaunch until you have a bit more experience maybe.

Probably the best thing to do is wrap it nicely and put it in the nearest bin

throw in the bin?, depends what kite it is.

Usually the prob that most people have when relaunching with 5th is they pull the 5th line too much and the kite rolls completely onto its back. In this position it is much harder to catch load on a wingtip because each time you pull left or right the whole kite pivots off the centre canopy and the wing tip stays flapping.

The best way to do it is only pull the 5th line enough that the kite is half on its back and then also pull the left or right line at this stage as well. The wingtip should fill with load and the kite will track to the edge of the window, then in the right position will right itself and lift off the water.

B careful to manage the excess length of 5th line by gradually releasing it in small amounts until fully extended.
