I rekn it is best just to find good times to go kiting.
I'm still on holidays waiting for uni to start. Went out from 10am til 2pm on narrabeen today, I was the ONLY kiter out there, I had the entire beach to myself

, so its much like the traffic; timing counts for a lot!
I find that if there are two windy days in a row, then it's also best to go out on the 2nd day, as everyone usually rushes in on the first day and are too tired to have looong sessions on the second day.
To be honest, I like it when there are least a few other kiters around, it makes me feel safer coz we can look out for one another

Anti-Hype probably would work. Also about the bowkites making it easier to get into then yes definantly, but most people haven't a clue what a bow kite is until they are ready to buy some gear anyway! I was contemplating kiting for around 3 years! I just wanted to finish my HSC first so I had the time.
