I'm having problems with the bar on my Tribal 06 9 mtr bar. When throwing the kite around one handed I have a habit of having the centre line between the first two fingers because I seem to be able to control the bar easier this way, the problem is, with the main line running through the centre of the bar, I've ended up wearing the skin of the inside of the two fingers after a sesh on Saturday.

Is there a simple mod to counter this problem using a sleave of some sort.

Thanks

Steve

... the good thing about the tribal is that there is allready a plastic sleave over both the lines running through the bar so that you don't wear your fingers out? I ride with my hands in the same position one handed without any probs??? the plastic is still on there isn't it?

Thanks Dachopper, I thought even with the standard sleaves, the friction of the up and down movement had caused the damage. Just checked the bar set up, and well, uuummm, who's an idiot,"I am". The sleave on the 5th had moved up the line, cant believe I didn't pick it up. Happy as now, this 9 mtr is an awsome kite, I'm only just starting to have a good relationship with it, but damn, I think I'm going to have to buy a big brother for it

no worries, I also dont put my fingers around that line whilest im hooked in riding ( sliding the bar in and out), only when Im unhooked and the bar position against the sleeve is constant, or if you use the UPS hooked in you can put your hand there aswell

A quick fix for you Doppleganger,

relax the white knuckles.

If Inverloch was anything like Pt danger last Sat. then it was perfect Tribal weather.

Inverloch was a blast, cant wait to get some balistic wind with that 9 mtr,it just eats the wind up.It's so responsive, yet forgiving.
