TSUNAMI THREAT TO THE MARINE ENVIRONMENT

********************************************************************************
SUMMARY:
Tsunami warning for the marine environment for NORFOLK ISLAND.

Possibility of dangerous waves, strong ocean currents and foreshore flooding
throughout the day from 08:30 am LOCAL TIME Sunday.

Sea level observations HAVE confirmed a tsunami has been generated.

For further details visit the Bureau web site www.bom.gov.au.

Next update due by 8:42 AM local time on Sunday 28 February 2010

DETAILS:
Tsunami waves are more powerful than the same size beach waves, with the first

Do not go to the coast to watch the tsunami. Check that your neighbours have
received this advice. Boats in close should return quickly if possible. Boats
in deep water should stay offshore until further advised.

doesnt seem as bad as they expected, so far, in Hawaii it was more a series of fast ebb and flow surges of water going in and out in 20 minute long wave intervals.. but i think it depends on the coasts. Better to be safe that sorry though. Theres no actual 'surf'.

Doctor,

Maybe you should insert a squid jig in your anus instead.
