What's with the hellmen surfers just south of trigg point? They seem to have problems sharing the onshore knee high wind waves with kitesurfers.
I thought the main objective of surfing was to get out in the morning while its offshore and not wait until its 20+knots at 5pm in the arvo.

It's sorta like tow-in surfing. If there are paddle surfers in the water then you stay out of there way.
If you leave the better set waves for the surfers and take the last of the set or the other waves then you should be OK. But best not to get in there way cos they have been doing it a lot longer than what we have.
Also if you get into an arguement on the beach afterwards there will probably be heaps of surfers to back him up but not many kitesurfers to back you up.

yeah, well said grinder, ive been there several times, avoiding surfers, picking waves, staying downwind so i dont spray them as i pass, yet still get sworn at and abused. They really do need a reality check, or just be happy to share. I think you find the main offenders are the ones that just sit there and dont catch any waves anyway...

They are jealous boys, and jealousy always breeds resentment and anger.
Try not to make their sport look so primitive and they might start to come around.
