Our good friend Ludovic sustained a nasty blow to his lower abdomen when he was launched into a fence post at Cottesloe beach (aka phone box) yesterday afternoon. He is currently in surgery tonight for what appears to be a ruptured intestine. Considering all things, he is in good spirits with his family and close friends around.

He’s asked me to pass on his sincere thanks to Glen, Steve, Jacky and the many others who’s names I didn’t get for the help they so quickly and capably provided yesterday. That was just fantastic and very much appreciated.

A timely reminder of the strength of mother nature and knowing you limits and when to call it a day.
I hope the guy is OK and is out there again soon.

Around 7 deaths this season worldwide, mabe these supersafe new-tech kites arent that supersafe?
Many of those hybrid, bow designs were contorting into very wierd shapes on the weekend.

I am really happy to hear that he is in good spirits. My heart sank when I saw him get launched.

I really hope he recovers fully soon and will be back on the water.

Thanks for the update. Would like to go visit him if that's cool. When he is up to it.

Best wishes.

Glen

Intestine damage can be real long term trouble. Best of luck to the poor sod.

Pass on that at very least he has given the trolls something to b!tch n whine about for a week or so.

Glad to hear there was plenty of assistance too.
