Has anyone else had the problem of a leak in the octopus system from the leading edge to the strut, could this be because of poor wrapping of teflon tape around the male fitting?

I've had one male valve in three kites leak back into the main strut (torch 2006). It's a bit of pain but doesn't appear to effect the kite - that is, it stays inflated. I removed the strut, added new teflon, then put it back together (still leaked back slowly). Again, it was a hassle, but kite use-able. I did a similar thing on a friends kite where I got to the male valve and lifted up the flap/valve and blew and shook it etc. After putting it all together it didn't leak back. Couldn't be bothered doing it to mine again. So it's an imperfection but won't stop you kiting. I think as far as one pumps go it's one of the better ones and will get better. I think they're excellent kites overall (why I've got 3!). Naish needs easier access and a better coupling system (like a simple twist down and click) - they'll get there.

Hi Thomo,
Mate just a bit curious, did some Torch 3's come out with these patches already in place, as my torch already has factory fitted "aramide" patches on the leading edge near all line attatchment points, front & rear??? havent had any air system issues, great kites.
cheers
