Hi,

I'm coming to Australia sometime early January. The plan is a combo kitesurf/party trip(and I gather Australia is the right place). I'm hoping to spend maybe a month(maybe longer) on the West Coast. I'm trying to figure out how to travel around the west coast and not just be stuck near Perth(maybe thats not a bad thing). Is it easy to hookup with people who are kiting the west coast. Should I look into renting or buying a crappy car?

How much kiting will I get in the South and East coast during the time that I'm there? I'm trying to figure out how much of a hassle carrying all my gear around will be or is it just worth putting in storage for parts of the trip.

Looking forward to the trip and hopefully meeting a few of you.

I kite WA and suggest you get wheels (don't need 4WD). Kites are all up and down the coast, you will see them from most coast roads. I can say that all spots are friendly, just be warry of thieves....using the search function on this forum is the correct way to go.

Please make sure you visit kiteboardingwa.org.au/ to get info. on local conditions. And when you register to kite with WAKSA you can kite anywhere in Aus. and attend all WAKSA functions...enjoy WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.
