Now wouldn't that be cool...

One day, all the new toys, one location... Come one Kite shops, I am sure we are all eager to get into this (looks like a big leap) year of kiting...

All we need is a big beach, a date (easy), some local shop support (doable) and wind (tricky)...

Thoughts on this?

Brilliant idea......a Kite Expo

I'm way overdue for a new kite and would love to get to demo a few one after the other.

What you mean a 'put up ya sweetest gear and make it perform or shut ya BSing cake-hole' comparison...

Obviously that would make all retailers a bit nervous (not just ******* ). I'll second that it sure would be cool for those being seperated from the spondies though.

Great PR for any shops with the goolies to participate though...

I should add in fairness though that I won't be buying a kite this season. so probably shouldn't be giving grief.

I don't have the $$$ and I keep reminding myself "I actually like my kites, they have at least one more season left in them and I am not obsessed with new toys (well exxy ones anyway)".

Next year after hybrids/bow are settled into 3rd generation design and the BS about 'radical new designs' has been offloaded from the Sulo bin - leaving only the facts as to their pros/cons - then I will buy a sweet one-kite marvel complete with self-inflation, onboard camera, GPS, self-help and trick of the week tapes... Do I expect too much... actually yes it should be cheaper than this seasons model

Oh with any luck, I will keep my good nick 5th line kites for mates to avago as they will still be great kites, even without the fruit.

Kite Expo.....? Nah they should call it something more like KITESTOCK!

Only hassle is it's at the wrong end of the season

well, I don't think the shops would feel threatened, as we each have our personal bias, brand loyalty and like of different colours - and lets be honest, there is a range of kites that could work for each of us, but something at times illogically compels you to like a kite even before you rode it!

With regards to Kitestock, yeah - that would be great. Last year I was at the Mambo and wanted to try the SBII's, but was so busy having fun, I never got that far... oh well... one day
