Does anyone know what El Nino or La Nina (I hope I have those correct) are forecast to be like this summer for WA - seems they had a decent impact last summer with far below average sea breezes for the SW and Metro areas.

Not complaining about winter, could kill for a good cold front! But it seems we are in a summer pattern at the moment (Last week and this week) with large high pressures dominating the charts and nothing but offshore winds.

Looks like summer could be a classic. Here's hoping..

Although it could go either way.Depends if ocean temps stay at average..with the dry conditions that el-nino bring could get some nice sea breezes.... or non stop easterlys

Thanks Stribo - although it seems they cant give a real indication other than its warming everywhere :| Have a mate who works for the Oceanography dept for the US navy - have asked him likewise and when I get his input I will post here also...

Sept 29 for me - the sooner the better :)

we had a seabreeze in Perth today that hit 12 knots - or what the east coast crew would call 18.. it was probably 20 knots up at greenhead!
