yeah man - 6,8,10 is good if your not a Noob asking if anyone goes out in 30+

Use your common sense here - it tells you that your already out of your comfort zone, nuff said

30kn onshore?

I'm sure some people do or at least try, but unless you have excellent hospital cover I wouldn't recommend it.

If you do go out in 30kn in winter, at least try to find a beach where the wind is blowing more on the cross side of cross-onshore ;)

onshore is cool running parallel to the beach, you just have to give yourself enough room for error. just remember rig for gusts and keep an eye on the fronts.
Thursday and friday look pretty windy but sat/sun could be better if your looking for lighter wind. Any way we should't be talking about this, last time wind was forecast it turned into a non event, blew for an hour swung offshore and the dropped.

Holy shee-art!! Those blue rollercoasters look a tad intimidating. No wonder all the boardies over wetty crew hide out at woodies.

Man it would be sooo good to get out, hope some decent conditions actually show up. Gotta get the WD40 out - bit rusty.

Hey stinky, yes there are a good few of us that go out in the strong winds. Just cruise the coast this weekend and you`ll see a few kiters out. As long as you have the right size kite, find a spot where others are kiting. The guys look out for each other big time especially in winter because the conditions can change very quickly. Keep an eye on the clouds, for instance big dark storm clouds moving in quickly can bring in patches of very strong winds. When I see those I usually come in quick land the kite and see what happens. Kiting in winter is great, a complete new experience compared to summer. But just take your time and speak to the guys on the beach.
I`m spraying WD40 all over myself and hitting those big swellies non stop.

Yeah sweet have kited during 3 winters but only have a 9 metre and anything above 30 knots tends to scare me a tad. Love the NWs some of the best sessions have been on these winds with deserted beaches and plenty of room to move.
