Must be a kiting thing.

If female surfers or windsurfers posted on seabreeze about where they were all gonna be tomorrow, the response would be, umm pretty reasonable

most kiters are not in to grannys or trannys nuf said

!! Maybe Lish could simply use the label " Get together's " rather than "Events" . It's all in the wording these days , don't think you need insurance to get together with a few mates. Just don't "organise" it, perhaps you could simply "arrange" it .

Riding on the bicycle past Trigg the other day and noticed an exceptionally large gathering of people of middle eastern appearance playing around with a ball on that little strip of grass close by the roundabout at the foot of Karrinyup road . I doubt very much if they had insurance . FFS, at what stage/number of participants would my own band, of merry downwinder crew have to consider insurance if the fear campaigning, sheep minded mob get their way ?

We all know that the gender imbalance in kite surfing is overwhelmingly out of balance - I don't know the specific %ages but looking at many beaches around Perth, I don't think it would be too far off an 80:20 split, men:women.

Encouraging women kiters to participate in the more formal structures of the sport (such as WAKSA events and the organisation itself) isn't necessarily a negative comment - given the approximate 80:20 split, surely encouraging more women into kiting, in any way, or by offering assistance, is surely a good thing...??
