We're sorry to say that due to an unfavourable forecast for Sunday we have decided to postpone the downwinder scheduled to run from Leighton to Swanbourne, until the following Sunday 12th November.

We apologise to all those people who were looking forward to the event and/who had made arrangements to attend, but we felt under the circumstances it would be best not to go to the expense of organising everything when there is a high probability of the event not taking place.

The forecast is predicting S/SE winds and this posed a too high risk should we start the downwinder and have the wind swing off-shore.

It is always WAKSA's intention to stick to our advertised calender of events, but when we feel there is a potential safety risk it is in the interest of everyone that we make alternate plans.

Once again our sincere apologies, hopefully we'll see you all on 12th November.
