Well, maybe the legrope and the kite is an odd pairing ?
Maybe the jetski as a surfing accessory is a better analogy ?
It's closer in a certain respect.
Whereby the jetski tows out the rider not unlike the kite does ...
and then releases the rider into a wave ride.
But the kite is never ever released ...
and there is the rub.
