I've only ever used a 1.5mm wetsuit jumper. I'm thinking of buying a wetty for winter but am worried that the zipper will annoy me with my waist harness.

Any comments from full wetty users? Do I need to get a shoulder zip wetty?

Thanx, Chris.

I agree with flux.. the xcel wetties are awesome..they have the zipper across the chest so it does not interfere with your harness.. but i do find with my steamer the legs will fill up with water from the bottom. this can be easily resolved with a little tape. or i have some velcro straps.. so if you are buying a wettie just for kiteing i know you can get some with built in straps..mystic do one i think.. but in all honesty i think any new wettie will be good.. they have come a long way in the last few years.. just try them on because different brands might fit you better.

xcel infinity for me, worked in an english winter in the atlantic - so cold when my head got wet I got an ice-cream-headache, my body was still really warm though., it'll be more than enough for your warm seas.

Mate the Ion wettys are awesome wet suits been wearing the same wetsuit for 2 years and still shows no wear marks plus the they have a few extras in them like the pads for where your harness goes and some have the over knee. Super good Quality and super easy to paddle in if you just go surfing in it. Where in QLD are you? I can get them in at Roar Industries.

Cheers Jacko

They're expensive mate prep yourself for a shock but they are well worth the bucks.
They are without doubt one of the best on the market if not the best, IMO.
I have one of these the Infiniti drylock, and I love it!, I brought it a few years ago when I went kiting in New Zealand and my Aussie wetties just didn't cut it and couldn't handle the conditions.
Happy shopping
