Ain't it great now we have had some real wind?
Down at Safety Bay/Warnbro Sound/Shoalwater nearly all the kiters have disappeared.
Obviously the handful left are ex windsurfers and can handle the conditions.
Even had a friendly wave from a couple, must be ex windsurfers for sure....
Hahahahaha

So the winds are nuking and they've all gone home?
Is it just the 25-30 knots Seabreeze says or is it more ballistic than that?

Don't know what your intension's where with this post. But yes, the guy's that only have one kite (12m) aren't on the water when it picks up over 20 knots. But come on strong winds my arse. I was up north last week and it was consistent 25 knots, the poley's where the ones commenting it was to windy on there 4.2 sails. I was just grinning and pulling in some depower and loving it.

Oh yeah, to the poley dude that was out at in safety bay yesterday, with his face painted white wearing the brim hat and can't sail if his life depended on it. I came and asked if you needed a hand because you were just bobbing around, right in amongst about 6 kiter's doing runs. You replied by saying I'm just resting, when you should have said I'm a kook and shouldn't have gone beyond my capabilities. I watched you make your way into shore eventually nearly taking out 2 or 3 poley's in the process. Sorry if you got offended by anything I said, but I was initially only concerned for your safety, as I'd nearly been hit by one of the outta town kiter's who power slammed his kite minutes before when I was resting on the beach.

Anyway, good to see your getting out WA66, don't forget to wave when you see me.

Make love not war huh Sambo Blaster?
I thought you were the kiter with his face covered in lotion that yelled out to me?!
If not must have been another admirer.
I was on dunger island, on my way back from Pengo where i'd shredded my harness and lost the spreader bar and all it's fixing straps...

Heh...I met these 3 kiters from WA the other day. Professional divers, built like brick s**thouses. They could drink, and were pretty cool overall. As I said to them, "You guys would make great windsurfers. Don't sell yourselves short"...

I was wondering the same thing. Just finished off all my days work at the pond and cleaned up the new teaching room and shot a glance at the pond. Nobody out. Man! Our new weather station was reading force 7 and pretty consistent too. I think we take it for granted here eh. Do a stint at Tarifa, where a lot of the locals only come out in 30+ kts and you know what it's all about. If you don't ride the high winds there you are contending with about 200 riders at least. Rode 35kts on a 4m with 15m lines. Absolutely nuts. The record there is 29 days of LEVANTE at 30 kts every day. WA Surf should have a complete Meteorological readout, up and running soon. Stay posted.
