im not totally sure, but while i was in tonga before i started kiting the surf was **** but on certain parts of the island solid tradewinds blow 24/7. now looking back i wish i was kiting because there are huge flatwater sections with wind howling but also some random big waves too. i would definately consider tonga or samoa but you should check out what the tradewinds are doing this time of year. ohh yeh
im pretty sure new caledonia is good that time of year. its got flatwater in the lagoon and good waves on the reef out the back. its blows a lot that tome of year
I'm definitely looking for warm water and weather and flat water. Not ready for waves with a kite yet. However surf in the morning followed by Kite session in the arvo sounds just about perfect.
Going to Oahu in three weeks , have been checking the wind readings and its been a constant 16 to 25 knots cant wait.
Next year I would like to go to Brazil stay in a posada on the beach and kite till my legs fall off.Might be a bit expensive getting over there but once your there its quiet cheap, I just want to go there after watching all those kiting dvd,s and have read numerous articles labelling it one of the best kiting destinations in the world. And the wind blows everyday a constant 20 to 35 knots you cant beat that.
