IT REALLY SUCKS!!!

THERE are 20 or so kiters in a small "reef infested" area and on low tide you can really damage yourself...let alone your kite and board.
I banged my board yesterday...now needs repairs...I saw another kite destroyed.....WTF?

Why bother going there?

There are spit loads of other vgreat beaches that don't endanger your gear or life.

I spoze I should be greatfull of the low tide...'cause if It had been high tide I may have come off and smashed my head on the unseen reef just a foot below!

I know you're all gonna sprout the greatness of Nobbies but bleeding heck, you'd have to be desperate!

Yeah two people go hurt on that reef yesterday - complete with authentic blood and everything!

It makes me nervous given all the shark attacks recently.....

The reef is half the reason people go there though - that thing makes a couple o pretty sweet waves. You just have to pull out in time!

just like sex, ya have to pull out in time....but sometimes spit happens that's why they are called accidents.
Accidents can be avoided by NOT GOING THERE!
I scratched myself up too yesterday.
I saw a guy boost...and land on the reef....

When the wind is light it gets it when other places don't .This year has been windy and everywhere has been great .I was at another spot on Sat and there were only 3 of us out with 6 km all to ourselves ,great waves .One guy looked pretty new at it and handled the waves well . .20 mins from the CBD ,no issues with flags/swimmers/surfers because there are few .Only needed to go to nobbies a few times this year fortunately.
I spose up the north end of nobbies is good for noobs behind the spot because its pretty flat but there seem to be a bunch of flat water lovers there who are not noobs but don't like waves.

Cheers
