Time for a fresh thread; I shall kick it off. You are heading to the beach and you know it is windy. You are excited and amped. What music do you listen to, to get you fully pumped just before you hit the water?

My favourite at the moment: Muse, Absolution.

Dandy Warhols "girl like kim deal" or "hard on for jesus" always puts a smile on the dial too.

Bah! Why is commercial nu-metal shiart like linkin park such an extreme sport cliche? I blame MTV!!!

I'd pick ac/dc, radio birdman, old spiderbait or old regurgitator if I was in an aussie guitar mood.

But really nothing can beat some full on psy-trance like infected mushroom, cosmosis or 1200 mics, or maybe some hardcore or hardstyle dance music like scott brown, andy farley, yoji biomehanika or lab-4. It's just harder, faster, and waaaaay better.

/I'll count myself lucky if anyone even knows who I'm talking about, let alone agreeing...

My absolute fav is "Material boy" by Millencolin. Nothing comes close to wicked swedish Punk!!!

but close behind comes anything hard and fast by:
Chemical brothers ... "galvanise"
System of a down ... "cigaro"
Shihad
After the fall ... "Mirror, Mirror"
NOFX ..."Shes Nubs" , "stickin in my eye"
At the drive in ..."invalid litter department" or "one armed scisor"
Bodyjar
Frenzal Rhomb... "punisher" , "writings on the wall"
Gyroscope ... "take this for granted"
Supersuckers ..."Pretty ****ed up"
One dollar short ..."some assembly required"

Oz punk and hardcore does it for me, but anything that gets the heartbeat racing will do. Just make sure u keep ur pusy little angry white boy music away from me.
I'm with Dave on this one.

Oh dear it's a really bad pun but the dogs have really lowered the tone here
Hey don't diss someone elses music either - if they want to listen to candy coated mass marketed psuedo punk then good on em
If you want REAL punk try Dead Kennedys, Bad Brains, Exploited etc etc Not my cup if tea but at least their tatts don't wash off!
Actually just seriously (almost) for a moment does anyone dig Beasts of Burbourn?? Now there is the REAL punk ethos in full flight!! What a band - saw there last ever gig and my mate copped the kick drum in the head when Tex threw it of stage!!!
They don't make em like that anymore

Did you just get back from kampucheah?
Ha - nice one thank god not everyone thinks evrything pre 91 was unimportant! Cobain, Mudhoney, new nothing and pretty much the whole of Seattle acknowledge Perth's own Kim Salmon (and the surrealists)as the man who produced the bastard offspring (no not the poxy punkettes band)that was grunge![}:)]
Don't beleive me - check out the ABC's long way to the top 85-91 if you doubt.
Sweaty, grimy, dirty, RnR - the REAL deal!
