Hey,

I heard a rumour that the new Gath helmets will be fitted with an optional MP3 player for tunes while you ride. Now there's a good reason to wear a helmet!

take it to the next level... I got my self one of those water packs for my MP3 player... INSANE really lifts you when your feeling flat or your timing's off... Get's you focused...

Got any details as where to get these? .....Cost?.....Reliable?

Any info would be much appreciated
Cheers

yeah was not cheap, cost me $130 from memory. I bought them from a florida based company... I'll try find the name of the company or similar ?

It works great. I've only trashed one player as a result of being in a rush to hit the water and forgot to do the case up...DOH !

If your'e even remotely interested in Perth bands you should check out:

"Steve Parkin band "(coldplay stylee v.good)

"Panda Band" (power pop with a delicate hint of beatles)

And tip of the week - "One Horse Town". If anyone remembers Spank, this is the cute as a button Sascha Ion's trio (dr, kys,gtr *no bass gtr). This time around she is playing gtr and fronting a funky/nasty pop band with much less "quirky" vocalings and a more ballsy vox and gtrs. If they had NY accents they would be making the rest of the US/NY scene whelp. Luvly...
Get oot and aboot and check em oot. ok?

Oh of course don't forget Eskimo Joe's 1st AND 2nd albums - truly world beating Perth pop made mostly in our backyard.

don't forget to...

Doesn't anyone actually dig feeling part of the elements??
Why do you want to feel like you are on the peak train in the morning while indulging in the sport that keeps you going to the grind each day???

Electronic/trance (Paul Oakenfold, DJ Tiësto, Judge Jules, Junkie XL, Moby, Fatboy Slim, Aphex Twin, Apotygma Berzerk, daft punk, Dust Brothers, Chemical Brothers)

Rock/Industrial/nOtherStuff (Rammstein, Nine Inch Nails, Butterfingers, TISM, Regurgitator, The Streets, Noise Works, Nick Cave, the cat empire, BJORK.)

it's a long way to the beach... load the stacker, crank it up... it's about loud enough when colours begin to blur, teeth are wiggling and a metalic taste enters the mouth[}:)]

I got waterproof headphones and a waterproof case from http://www.waterproofcases.net I was going to put my 60 gig ipod photo into the case, but then got warned by another user that it can skip. I wasn't going to risk a $900 player when I would inevitably eat it, so I went out and got an Ipod shuffle. Solid state, smaller than a pack of gum and still plenty of juice for a 3 hour plus session. Whack it in the back of the camelback, strap the waterproof headhones in under the seaspecs, and you're wired.
Why?
As one of the signatures in the kiteforum.com site so rightly points out - The problem with real life? NO DANGER MUSIC.
Haven't had a chance to try it out yet because there's TOO MUCH WIND.
Well, here in Cairns there's a cyclone watch on. Ingrid. Category 5. Wind gusts of 290kmh at the centre. At the moment it's tracking towards Cape Melville - about 200km + north.
I love the BOM small craft warning - expect large to PHENOMENAL seas.
We've got one of the largest tides of the year expected tomorrow morning. Looks like the guys from Port Douglas and North will be having a sphincter clampingly sleepless night.

Check out this awesome image of the cyclone here modis.gsfc.nasa.gov/gallery/individual.php?db_date=2005-03-08
