I got waterproof headphones and a waterproof case from
http://www.waterproofcases.net I was going to put my 60 gig ipod photo into the case, but then got warned by another user that it can skip. I wasn't going to risk a $900 player when I would inevitably eat it, so I went out and got an Ipod shuffle. Solid state, smaller than a pack of gum and still plenty of juice for a 3 hour plus session. Whack it in the back of the camelback, strap the waterproof headhones in under the seaspecs, and you're wired.
Why?
As one of the signatures in the kiteforum.com site so rightly points out - The problem with real life? NO DANGER MUSIC.
Haven't had a chance to try it out yet because there's TOO MUCH WIND.
Well, here in Cairns there's a cyclone watch on. Ingrid. Category 5. Wind gusts of 290kmh at the centre. At the moment it's tracking towards Cape Melville - about 200km + north.
I love the BOM small craft warning - expect large to PHENOMENAL seas.
We've got one of the largest tides of the year expected tomorrow morning. Looks like the guys from Port Douglas and North will be having a sphincter clampingly sleepless night.
Check out this awesome image of the cyclone here
