Posted by KBV on behalf of Helen Clucas:
"
My name is Helen Clucas and I am an Assistant Producer on the Channel 4 television series Relocations: Phil Down Under here in the UK.
This is the second series of the show and sees one of Britain's top property experts, Phil Spencer, helping to relocate British couples to Australia. The programme is a spin off of the hit Channel 4 programmes Location, Location, Location and Relocation, Relocation which he co-presents with Kirstie Allsopp. The first series was also shown in Australia at the beginning of this year on the lifestyle channel; so we predict this series will follow suit.

We're coming to Australia in the next couple of weeks, visitng Perth, Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane and my Producers are really keen to feature a British Expat in the watersports industry.

As well as helping newly arrived Brits find their first home we are going to feature successful British Expats; people that may have made the big move over to Australia in the last several year and are now running a successful business. My Producers want a variety of different jobs; one of them being a water sport business and I was wondering if you were able to send out a mail shot to your members to see if they fit the bill.

We'd like Phil to come and meet them and film them doing their job and find out how being in Australia has lead them to leading a life they could have only imagined over in the UK.

Lol

This forum is so politically incorrect its quite funny.

Hopefully nobody takes too much offence by the anti-pomm comments.

And if there are too many pommes here whats with the news stories about skills shortage and importing boatloads to lay some fancy internet cable.

How long does it take for a pomme not to be considired a pomme anyway?

I remember a previous seachange show with whinging poms from all corners of australia. The perth couple featured a whinging midwife "you can't get good knickers over here, I so miss marks and spencers"
They eventually packed up and went back because of her.

Biggest load of sh!t I ever heard... For one if the war was in pomy land you would all be to busy inside being depressed and necking yourself, and secondly if the war was in Australia all you poms would get heat stroke on the first day and be to sick to fight anyone for the rest of the war.
In conclusion I fail to see how you could kick anyones ass in the real world.

Funny thing that.
WHO figures show that there were more completed suicides in Australia than the Uk
In Australia there were 10.5 suicides per 100,000 and in UK only 9.2

All that shows is that when Aussies do something we actually do it right more often.
