Can anyone give me a clue on the best way to set the kite up for waveriding? watching videos, they always look like they are onhooked, do you total depower the kite as much as possible on the depower strap first or what?
Also what is the best board size/type etc. for waveriding? Epoxy with low sharp rails about 6 foot or so?
I bought some Slingy fuels for waveriding but the safety setup is ****e. Anyone know how to set up these kites with 5th line setup?
Cheers.

Send the kite lowish and firm,
let the kite 'surf' the wave first,
follow your kite and track the line ,
keep your strings tight,
and don't be a kitefag.

seems to me a couple of ways
powered up a la fuels and other c kites or
bows big depower and more surfing with kite hovering or following down the wave
saw both styles at gnaraloo, pivec + friends on their reactors v others on crossbows etc
powered up better to watch imho, need better kite skills and a board that will hold some power
fuels good but pre 06 quite grunty and hard to depower a lot, cleatable 5th line a big step forward, + tough kites in their favour
06 esp 11 13m very good depower on 5th line, 06 9m still quite grunty
i use octane 10m
20m lines help turning speed
try a torch3 - ants pants i reckon for the surf - sos have demos
