Dave Humphrey died in a paraglidng accident near Karratha yesterday. He was an instructor, had flown all over the world and had thousands of hours up. He was a colourful local personality, often seen flying his paraglider with power pack along the Perth coast.

Dave was also into kite surfing @ Scarbs and Peli Point when he wasn't paragliding.

Our deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Shame that he is gone.
Knew Dave very well in the commercial diver scene having worked with him on many occassions.
I have been with him before on that same hill in Karratha , it was a freak gust of wind , while he was clipping a girl in for a tandem fly.
Unbelievable !
His ashes were scattered along the coast line where he fly's frequently , and my condolences to his family.
He was a good guy and loved life.
