Hey team,

Have finally got my hands on a fourby and cant wait to make the trip to wedge. Havent been there before and just wanted to get an idea as to what to expect on the way up and once your there.

Hey Tomnewcombe,

Here is a hint, let your tyres down to around 15psi to get through the loose sand on the beach and take a shovel and snatch strap just in case. Problem with finding the soft stuff is that you have to drive through it to find it, hope you bought an Automatic.

The inland track is very bumpy and takes ages but is easy to get through.

No too much at Wedge apart from some surf and some dunes so take what you need with you. Little to no shelter for girlfriends or partners if it's howling so leave them behind.

Good spot, best in a Westerly wind with Sou'West swell.

beach access quite tide dependent this time of year

go thru dunes at lano
follow ur nose to beacon rd
turn down to dide bay
thru gate at signs
then on for a few ks
left on to beach

buy the new nav man trecker.... it has all the 4wd tracks in it to wedge... and all around wedge and tells u about the tides and beachs ect..

Toby...is the nav man treker a handheld gps?..WHere do u get them?
