Hey PR,

If it is just the zip it can be repaired by any tailor(get yellow pages and call around them you want a zipper replaced, If they say "Harro" get ready for ur nuts to be squeezed...should only cost you $20-$30 tops). Just make sure they use Polyester/Nylon Thread and it is spaced the same as your other stitching on the wettie(if the stitches are too close it will rip right thru...also if they use cotton thread it will rot) Also you can get a zip from Lincraft or Spotlight. YKK produce the best zips. You will be looking for a 10mm wide and maybe 55cm long?(measure your existing one...Plastic/Nylon teeth)

If you have major probs let me know im sure I can locate your size zipper in Sydney.

Good Luck

Hi Mike,
RadiatorOZ in Freo do a very good job at a fair price. Nairn St I think. Just don't be conned into buying the Neoprene glue for small repairs. The stuff only lasts a few weeks

Have also used radiatorOz to repair zip(pulled of brand new peak wettie!). Fair price and quick service. Picking up another wettie from them repaired tomorrow arvo. They're under R2 in the phonebook, I definately think its worth going to them rather than an ordinary tailor cos they make wetties and understand the stresses involved.

Yeah true Cooky! Just offering options incase the wettie repair dood may shank poor relly. Really its not brain surgery. Just common sense. However some cats like to make out a bigger situation than it actually is and a bigger buck. However most WA ppl seem pretty honest.

All the best If you can get a pro wettie guy to do it at a good price go for it. If not let me know I can help you locate a decent repair job in Sydney if your not in a huge hurry.
