Just thought you would like to all know, A 9m day with 6-8 footers rolling in at what we affectionately know as "whimps". The new Airush boards were put through their paces as were the reactor and lift kites. I don't know about all the hype with new brand stuff, but I just want to let you all know how much I am smiling at present. AND I've only caught today....the boys have been hitting it for three days running now.
Yeah. How good is Gero, hey Gav. Side offshore with waves on every direction except dead east. Southerly today with 4mt swell,oh well, will have to ride Sunset. Airush Converse 5'0" goes off in down the line conditions.
Power, I don't WANT to know how good it was today. Have been at the mechanic all afternoon with tales of woe surrounding the old van. All's well that ends well but I had to sit and read Australian Geo whilst listening to raddle guns and in between the scratching of the old pepper tree against tin. A stinging reminder of where I would rather be.
I know you had fun so please don't give me my own medicine and rub it in. But if you have to, I'm a grown boy I'll cope.
Guys, Checked sunset before work hoping for an early stormy but it was pretty small and SE. Thought that was the end of it but should have known Gero wouldn't let me down. Friggen sea breeze kicks in early arvo. Hit point after work it's blowin' 20 plus. My bro paul is rigged with 12 Lift he says he's freestyling on the inside and proceeds to lay down some sic board off double spin transitions and slashes the shory up on his Fusion 142. I say **** the freestyle when its fanning cross off out at frontyards with solid sets. I hit it with my converse 5 and flow 8. Mate i'm renaming that board "the squirt" and not just because it's small and gets me wet.It squirts power like you wouldn't believe. Love the extra width when hitting the lip - seems real controlled with good projection back down the face. The flow 8 on 25's is the sweetest wave riding kite -instant response with solid predictable pull. Can't wait to try the combo up north. Havn't tried the 6"2" yet kitehard sounds like you scored.
