What colour stands out ?

I was too busy getting my deflated kite out of a rip and into the shore I lost site of my board. I did find it and am pretty happy about that. It needs a respray one day, and I was wondering what colour stands out the most in the surf ? Yellow?

Yellow and Black stripes like a bumble bee. Also red stands out in the white water.

Fluro Yellow is good or fluro green, or pink if you want to make a statment. Just stay away from blue, white & black

So fluro yellow background with 20mm stripes of black, fluro green fluro pink, running down length of board or should they go across board like a bumble bee off to the mardi gra

In the early days I always lost yellow boards. I think colour doesn't make much of a difference (or maybe its just me!).

not entirely true howley...i thought you had a thing where you lost other peoples yellow boards??

They are all hard to see - invest in inflatable binoculars.

just make sure you place reflective strips on top and bottom of board, to catch the sun glint!!!
