Yesterday at Woodies......there was a kiter doing airy transitions about 5 m from the shore, and not more than 50 m upwind from some nasty rocks, and .... most importantly..... only few meters from HER.
...and the tragedy happened........no, no he did not hit the rocks .......much worse than that: SHE did not pay attention. In fact she was totally oblivious of him.
....and the air was filled with sadness and whisper: "please see me, acknowledge me, please just a glimpse, just a glimpse....."

Perhaps a lifestyle change would suit him better.

...yes he did impress an old boy like me.....reminding how much we risk at times for that glimpse of HER.....

very true!!

its not uncommon to see a group of girls froth over surfers at scarbs or trigg,

however in 2 years ive never seen a girl approach a kitesurfer in awe or wonderment!!! or even take notice lol

i do not think kiting is the sport to be in if trying to pull girls!!!

I don't think it's unfortunate - imagine the number of crew that would take up the sport if did pull the chics. We'd have all sorts of clowns getting flung around 2m from the shore in the hope they'll get some lady action. just look at the numbers of surfers on a summer weekend down at scarborough or trigg. I wish surfing wasn't cool either actually.

do any of you girls ever have any elligable guys come and chat with you while you are kiteing........ oh hang on.... we would always do that anyway.

I recently had a group of tasty schoolie nubiles ask if i could do a trick behind them while they had a photo taken.

If only i wasn't an overweight, balding, married man 10 years past my prime, i might have investigated this blatant display of adoration further.

Then again, they might have wanted the shot to laugh at the stupid old man with the kite, wearing daggy sunnies and some sort of nappy harness thingy...

Ambiguity in a post makes the reader think that it is possible that the author is drunk or illiterate.

...yes, my friend, I always feel drunk after a good kiting session.........and feel totally illiterate when I want to express it with words.....and...ambiguity is good because (as you said) it makes you think....
