I haven't kite boarded before but i am really keen on starting up. I am planning on buying a kite for the hols but don't know what the best kite for me is, can anyone help?

I am about 65kg, plan on kitesurfing at Brighton Qld and as i said before i haven't kite boarded before so it's safe to say that i am a beginner. Help would be greatly appreciated thanks!

Hey felix..
A better question would be "Which instructor do you recommend?"
There've been a few similar questions from beginners on this forum recently, have a search around, try to learn a bit about kites, organise yourself a lesson, try to get a trainer kite to practice with, check out the buy and sell here, I'd suggest a you look for a fairly new bow or SLE kite around 10-11m.

My mate was after an 07 boxer too but there aren't any left. Look at the Code, they say it flies just like a Cult just cheaper.

Tobes is rite though, wait till after your lesson. At least you will have a better idea of what you want in a kite.

Have a some lesson time first before you make your mind up on gear.
Then try as many types as possible before you commit to anything.
With the great kites around these days, you should only need about 3-4hrs to go solo
if your instructor is doing the right thing by you.
