Hey guys,
I couldn't find a more suitable place to put this so here it goes...

I'm looking to sell some gear that I've had for a while and never actually used, but I have no idea what it would be worth these days. What do you guys think a fair price would be for this gear?

2007(?) 12m Liquid Force Havoc - some repairs undertaken proffesionally before I bought it second hand (see pics)
Liquid Force spreader bar with brand new lines
Dakine Hawaii waist harness

A more suitable place would be the buy and sell.

Secondly that's actually a control bar not a spreader bar.

Been kiting a while then hey?

does it fly, any leaks, why are you selling it, whats the wind range, how much use has it had, what are the safety features, does it come with a pump, do you have some more of those patches. Whats the performance like, how does it jump, has it ever been in salt water. what skill level rider would it suit, how do you use it, can you give lessons, can i try before i buy, can you use it for parisailing or base jumping, have you got it in any other colours does it come with waranty, is every thing i need included, is there a board or did you use it bare foot, do i need a boat, where can i use it, is there somewhere like youtube i can see it in action, ive been flying stunt kites are the controls the same and can it do all the same tricks, how long are the lines i dont have much room and i want to fly it in my backyard, is it a delta kite or is it a bow can you think of any other questions that i should ask before buying

Is the sale price including postage, how much to send it to Whyalla or to my brothers hose in lincon. Im going to robe next week can you supply a quote to send it there needs to be there wednesday before easter, is it cheaper to send it in smaller packages will you send it cod, if i pay a deposit will you send it over for me to look at because its to far away for me to come and see it. Im going to spain in the winter do you know if this kite will suit there conditions. thinking of getting a bugy as well do you know where to buy one. I have a bad spinal injury will this kite suit me

sorry not interested i know a guy that has a mate thats got one cheaper. but if you lower your price i will take it.

The local kite shop guy said thay had bad bladders and if they havent been replaced could cost me a hundred dollars to replace are you going to take that off the price or get it done before i pay.

man your a hard barganer just send the kite and $200 cash and i will take it...... Thanks

Dude, I'd say go into buy and sell, and price it around what the current havoc 07s are selling at, minus or plus a bit for condition.

You seem a bit misled if you think just because he's unfamiliar with some of the terms that he stole it, I'm pretty sure if he had only kited for a month and then decided to drop the sport he may not actually know the correct terminology.

Not fair or nice to point fingers at someone's expense, if it's unjustified.

Excllent responses. Now I know exactly how much to sell it for... wait what?

Not it's not stolen I bought this this thing from a place on the Gold Coast over a year ago and I have used it once when I first got it, but it has sat in a nice cool dry garage ever since. I've just unpacked it and besides the patches (there is no more than those pictiured), it looks as good as new.

I just want an honest opinion on what it would be worth. Reason for selling? I leave for the UK for a working holiday in 6 weeks and could use an extra couple of hundred bucks and this will go to waste sitting in storage.

Professional repairs by a one armed blind man from India I'd say.

How much did you pay for it way back before never having used it for a long time.
I reckon it would be worth even less now

I reckon rellies original offer is as good as you'll get (even without the crisps) and probably way more than you deserve

Sounds fair. What would a repair do to the price? minus $100-$150?
I'll run with that

And ignoring that seemingly unwarranted crap, I paid $950 for the whole kit way back when ...

Sorry ...... some kites are just not worth passing on. This is the reason i still have a ss link in the spare room. I dont want to sell my **** off to someone else who will also think it is **** potentialy could put many people off kiting as it changes hands over and over again. Just my opinion though, sounds like the dude that sold it to you riped you off maby you should have asked us the question back then.

The repairs on your kite are not profesional, no repairer would butcher a kite like that. my opinion is that you would be lucky to get 200-300 bucks for it from some poor mislead sole. good luck.

It's really that bad? It was repaired and purchased by a place on the Gold Coast that was on the Gold Coast Highway near Rubber Jungle Wetsuits, but checking streetview, they don't seem to be there anymore - By thesound of it, that's no surprise.

Well that's a bummer. $300 it is...

Dude

YOU KNOW WHAT ITS WORTH, BUT YOUVE GONE DOWN THE SELFISH GREEDY PATH OF ADVERTISING IT IN THE WRONG FORUM..... stupid Muppet

Its only worth now - is to pump it up & donate it to your local Childcare Centre as a Sunshade for the kiddies !!!

Your Muppet man talent will be of use there too

Shheeeesh, harsh crowd.

Kite is done and dusted and of no value except perhaps the aforementioned child care centre-some value in the bar, lines and harness subject to condition-lines 'look' ok from your pics.

Spare bar and lines anyone?

Maybe $200ish for the lot.

I would dowse everything in petrol (bar, lines, kite) launch it and then torch the lot.

Maybe sell tickets, you will probably make more money that way...

Failing that at least film it and post it on youtube [}:)]
