wind is pretty gusty in Mui Ne.
we usually rode 3 different kite sizes per day.
Mui Ne maion beach is very choppy and you be riding straight into chop which is no fun.

Vietnam is definitely a exciting place to visit.
Watch you stuff especially on the train and look out for Russian learners out in the water.

Have fun

Bit early in the season but you never know we got no wind in Feb this year and that was supposed to be peak season, try meeting some others to car pool with a taxi from HCMC as the price has been jacked up quite a bit!! or you can catch the bus from district one for only $7 but it only leaves in the morning so you will have to over night in the city, if there is wind go to Macs beach for waves, or do a downwinder to Phan Thiet although at that time of the year could be an upwinder!! Great break half way there!! Good luck

... all true, except it was fun for me!

Check out Cemetry's (beach at end of fishing village, grap a taxi, cheap) for some waves, last year we had 20 to 25 knots with 4 meter waves, scary at times especially when I over shot the kite and saw it get eaten by the same wave that shoved me to the bottom and when I finally poped up for air I saw a scrunched up pink and grey tissue paper at the end of my lines, but it poped up a minute later so all good, no damage.

Great place no matter what the wind, if you get kiting in its a bonus!!!

Were going again mid Nov so hope its on!

cheers,

Robbie

Its still close but not quite SEA, id head onto Sri Lanka on the west side near Colombo

It has 1 of the best wind seasons worldwide and your still be covered for your trip

Good clean consistant wind with lagoons or open sea

www.windguru.cz/115722

Cheapest way to get there is from Kuala Lumpur flying Air Asia for around $100 each way

The wind in Vn is incredible but this year its been **e... im sure it will be back to normal next year
