Hi all,
Im getting on and with kids and commitments need to tone down my kitesurfing to a safer? level.
Im thinking of either the 07 boxer sle or slingy turbo diesel 2.
Im looking for something able to float downwind for wave riding, but also boost well. Not into tricks etc, as past experience has hurt like hell. Mainly looking for stable and constant in sky ( not darting madly around) and able to be used in surf for wave riding.
Nothing wrong with my fuels, but looking for a change.
Any help would be cool

All I am going to say is that from what you describe it would be worth demoing a venom

I'd suggest one of the hybrids with a 1:1 bar, like an Ozone Instinct or North Rebel. A Venom2's definitely worth thinking about if you're open minded.

I'm open minded to give anything a go.
Re: Venom, my only concern involves water relaunching
Can it be done, what happens if they get rolled in surf?

i dont think you can go wrong with either kites. theyre both great kites.

i,m flying TD1,s and i love em to bits. 12mtr & 16mtr.

If you can hold out for the new naish/slingshot kites. give em a demo.

theres alot of hype goen on right now. but kiting technology is advancing so fast these new kites are worth checking out.

i'm only new to the sport and have been trying new kites lately. I had a go of the 13 venom and they are really forgiving kites and really floaty for jumps, i couldn't get to high on it though. I'd imagine they are pretty good for surf too, i think someone won the national waveriding titles on a peter lynn (please correct me if i'm wrong) but give all kites fly, and go for what feels best.

Im riding 04 and 05 fuels at present.
19m 04 and 15m 05.
Guess im looking for the magical one kite, but probqably a 15m and a 9 m would fulfil the wind rangewe have here.

Try a switchblade 2, great wind range, stable, loads of depower, great for wave riding, easy relaunch, boosts well.
Only neg : some question over stitching quality on some.

I'll fully agree with the Switchblade suggestion - also the new Cabrinha Revolver is meant to be an awesome wave riding kite. I also have TD which is good but I prefer the Cabrinha in the surf.

Actually, go for simplicity where possible - after riding Fuels you'll know what I mean

Read the reviews on Ocean Rodeo if your open to everything out there and not just what gets flown around your local. I just purchased 2 of the OR rises. But you may like the kite called the one. Check out their website. http://www.oceanrodeo.com/kiting/kites.php
I demoed several kites. I'll be taking and uploading some photo's of them today after the christening. What the hell I might even do a review, but don't expect to much technical jargon as I'm still a little underdone in knowledge, but I'll try my best.

I bought a new kite, 14m, and it has me riding in twelve knots on a 133cm board and I weigh 105kg. The day of the one kite quiver is upon us. This is all I will be riding this season.

Demo all the new kites on the market, I got a Helix and am stoked, but alot of the new kit has amazing performance.

The guy asks a question people answer it .
maybe we should answer it so that you don't get so upset like "Look bro just read the ads in the mags and on the net and get whatever you reckon is the coolest "

I don't sell em or even fly them, but that sounds like a venom to me.

There is no such thing as a one kite quiver if you ride a really big wind range. T2 very very stable and bomb proof, the new fuels are way more forgiving then ever these days. You'll find most hybrids are really light and quick on the bar, new rev incredibly quick. fuel little more positive feed back kite. then the t2 like all bows very positive bar pressure.
My advice try to get a run on the new models so you get a better more even opinnion. you may finds your self on a new fuel.
