Hi Jesse,

We need to know where you are or how strong the wind gets in your waterways.

If it's always really windy it will make a difference to if it's barely windy. Also a board size will determine the size of kite you will need

For an 80kg beginner in 15 knots on an Airush Square 2 beginner board a 10 metre kite or 12m kite would be ideal. If you were to pick an Airush Flow or Pilot a 10 would be adequate as they are grunty!

Stick to the moderate to low aspect ratio kites in the beginning as they are easier to relaunch and are more stable when flying.

Hope this helps. Good winds,

Hi Jesse,

We teach at Pinnaroo Point so why not come down and say G'Day. I reckon a good board you will not grow out of would be a Switch 142. See if you can pick one up second hand unless you got the moolah to buy new.

Hope to see you at the beach.

Cheers and good winds,
