Hey all, I'm getting swept up in pre-summer excitement and looking at getting some new gear.. This will be my 2nd proper season and I've got an 07 Crossbow2 12m and an old well loved stonker board (133). I'm not sure what to go for first. I'm jumping ok now and can occasionally pull off a back roll. I'm 85kg and kite Port Phillip bay in Melbourne so 12m is right for me for most days in summer. My stonker board is really stiff so I think it holds me back in the chop here a bit. Got a mate learning who I could onsell my CB2 onto, so I guess I'm thinking maybe its a good time to go the next step with another kite I could progress further on, or should I get a better board first? Obviously $$ is a limiting factor - isn't it always! Might look at 2nd hand smaller kite (8 or so) for those cranking days too.. people seem to be talking a lot about North Rebels on here.. I guess as usual, try everything I can get my hands on.
Money money money..
Cheers,
Macca

PS I started learning on an old wipika C to the stage of holding an edge, and am open to whatever in relation to the bow/hybrid/C debate. Don't really like the pulleys on the bar of my Crossbow tho

why dont you try out the rebel or airush DNA. from what people here say to me about airush they mostly prefer the dna over the flows
and ive heard the rebel is a reallly nice kite, quite stable and depowerable.

I'd say ur kite will be good 4 another season(try the new ones tho if you can ) .Your thoughts about a new board are more the right direction. That will make a huge difference .have a go on some flat boards with some nice flex in the tail .FLX ,carboards ,nobile (i'm sure there are others but i have ridden all these and reckon you'll notice moe difference in your riding with a board than kite )
