The silver/grey rope that is standard on most chicken loops, that is...
Been to all the local marine shops and they've never seen it or know where to get it. Have been using 6mm and 8mm pre-stretch for home-made chicken loops, but despite the name they stretch a fair bit and wear out after about 1 months riding. Any suggestions? And before you blow up about safety, i got a surefire bar, so using a factory-made unit isn't an issue, just a bowline and some plastic tubing for me...

Ask your mates!
I've got a couple of spares. You can have one until one of us gets to civilisation!
Apparently the ducks guts is Amsteel, dunno where to buy but I expect KP or a good chandler.
Tried Bay Marine?
Kiting tomorrow?

Try dyneema sk75 in 6-8 mm diameter. Should be available from good sailing stores, try the Yacht Grot in Fremantle WA. I fixed my cl about 6 months ago and its still hanging in there.

Hey Fleshy, I've bought new chicken rope from yacht chandlers here in Melbourne before, if you want me to get some just give us a call or talk to magoo, I can send some up. Should be coming up there some time in the next month or so once the trucks fixed. Heard the kingys are going off.
