Looking to replace my Liquid Force Response bar and keen to hear what people think as a good upgrade. Not necessary the most expensive with all the bells & whistles you don't need. But what does the job the best.

Reason for wanting to replace the LF Response bar - the safety line is always twisting & to the point that I snapped the safety line half way through a down loop turn. This summer having been riding surf boards & foils mostly - so you are always looping the kite. Even though the kite is looped evenly both ways - still seems to twist the **** out of the safety line where is attaches to the centre line.

I love my core sensor 2 bar. I only loop one way, so I need the untwisty thing. It's a couple of years old now. I think they were working on a better one

I'm slingshot through and through. But I tell you what. The core bars are out of this world! There QR is stupid because you have to twist it but other then that they blow my mind.

The sensor 2 bars work a treat and untwist the lines without even thinking about it.. very light but a high Y...

If I was to buy a new bar right now it would be the new liquid force mission control. below the bar swivel, PU tube over the middle lines, super easy to adjust width, dead simple QR that works, simple above the bar trim, and I like the tapered grip that they use. perfect bar imo.

Personal opinion but slingshot bars are bomb proof lines are of the best quality and strength will be buying another when this one expires eventually

I looked at the Slingshot bar and I liked everything about it apart from a couple of things... I didnt like the oh sh1t handles (which could be removed I suppose) and the fact that the lines are 2 different lengths. By that I mean the frontlines are a different length than the back lines to compensate for different leader/y bracket splitter length. They end up equal length at the kite but this means you cant buy a replacement line set of equal lengths from a different manufacturer .... your stuck with Slingshot lines. Having said that the Slingshot lines are high quality with a filament core, but it does make the bar less modular.

+1 for the core bar, felt very smooth, and very light even on an 18m kite.

-10 for the Naish Fusion, safety line is always twisting, depower is impossible to tune unless you are standing on a beach with the kite at 12. Line colours are yellow/grey instead of blue/red which I personally hate.

There are so many good things about the slingshot bar. But I feel unless you are unhooking or doing mega loops you won't notice them. But for free riding it can be a little heavy. Especially for foiling.

the slinggy bar it's the only bar I use. But it dosnt feel as nice and light at core. But slight will out last any other bar out there

My Wallan waterfoil bar was pretty good. 3 line setup, instant kite reverse relaunch line, Big chickenloop for easy unhooking and fixed angle of attack... none of this depower nonsense.

I ride core's and I do love their bars also especially the pull to unwind system. Do any other bars have this? If not why?
Anyway I came here expecting rave reviews about the "game changers" in the industry. ...Anyone?

As your mainly riding directionals and foils, you may want to look at the throw of the bar and how easily it is to adjust. Directionals and especially foilboards like kites where you can really turn off the power by pushing the bar a long way out. This rules out most covered depower lines as their throw is set and usually aimed at the tt market.

The trimlite bars from Cabrinha are by far my favorite bars:

- yellow/orange on left
- semi-fixed bar end to help prevent the bar wrapping the center lines
- marked flag line (always know which way your kite will fly when you release it)
- cleat that doesn't jam
- loop that never foul hooks
- below the bar swivel that works perfectly
- a company that actually does safety recalls

My only complaint is that the depower tail can tangle around the bar when you are at full depower.

I have also switched to Fireball and while I do like it, it has some serious safety concerns.

I don't know what the best bar is, but i have used a number of bars over the year.

Currently using the Zian ZA Control Bar. (I get discounts on products)

Its a very clean bar.

A few things, I like, Its very easy to use the trim line under full power.

Soft bar ends.

Plastic center hole prevents center line deterioration, saves me paying $50 for new trim lines. (Before we had the Child, I was smashing 3 trim lines a season)

Safety release is trigger happy. - Slight push away from the body and it has released. +3

Below bar swivel. I used to use a different swivel system, that was out of reach, couldn't correct my lines when riding on the fly.

Light bar.

The bar is about 40% of the cost of big name brands.... They retail for $420.

My vote goes to the ozone
simple, clean, and premium quality, no bullshidt that you don't need, they'll still be going when your game changers are done

My only concern with any bars that have PVC centrelines - is the amount of reports starting to come out, from the centre line breaking...
I think a clear colour would be best if possible.
Perhaps replace every year to be safe.
