Hi klerk5,

It totally depends upon the kite you are going to use it on. Most 7-11m kites run on a 45cm bar.

I wouldn't cut it much shorter unless you have a tiny fast kite.

Good winds,

Check your kite's website for what bar they use standard. slightly longer and your kite turns more agressively, shorter turns slower.

Hey klerk5,

I'd fly it with the 55cm bar and see if you like it. If as Dave says, it's too fast, cut it down. If it is just right, leave it as is. It depends upon how fast you want your kite to turn. We rig our 10m Flows on 55cm bars cause they turn that bit faster.

If you're into handle passes, then cut it down, a shorter bar is a little easier to pass.

Good winds,

hey mate, the havoc is awesome.... i have a 12m and fly it on the small 45cm bar...

it flys really smoothly and turns at just the right speed on this bar.... i would reccomend you ues this size otherwise the kite will be less forgiving when performing tricks.

for more info email padi@S u r f c o n n e c t . c o m
