What the hell is happening, december, its cold, no sign of seabreezes, no sun, rain, enough to drive someone to give up kiting and take up esculator ascending.

Someone has obviously displeased Huey.

We must hunt down the Dark Ones and burn them alive to appease Huey.

Come forward Dark Ones and cleanse the impurities from your soul in the white heat of the flames.

where abouts are you? i'm in melb. and yes, yes it does suck

kiting did drive me to sell all my gear last season and buy a motorcycle, as they're not (as) weather dependant, not as much fun though either

Hey Relo
I just can't resist having a good dig its just been tooo good. Went for a high speed face plant last night from about 15 foot, it was like hitting concrete, it still hurts today. But the pain is joy joy joy, I'm gonna try it again tonight and hopefully get it right.
Unless we have a day of 35-40 kts and its feeling like that this morning at MM, then It'll be a day of rest.
Love the pain, hopefully see you in sunny (haha) Perth.

I agree N,
Hardie explains the weather by this

quote:
On news last night they explained there was an unusually huge/massive low pressure system in antartica which is pushing all the normal high pressure systems further north than they would usually be positioned this time of year. Hence winter type weather.

It is apparantly static and the weather will continue for foreseeable future

too much negativity at the moment.

Hey Robbo, Lurch
I am also going to be in Denham on the 26th 27th and 28th of DEC.
would be great to meet you.
I am traveling in a Kombi with the wife and will be doing the coast.
Kiting at Lancelin, Hangoverbay, Geraldton, Coronation Bay and Denham.
Really hoping the winds are there and the flys are not.

Hey guys
I'm heading south for the chrissy break. I'll be in Perth, Albany and Lano from 15th until 30th Dec. Looks like I'll miss you while your up here. BUMMER. Best caravan park is Denham Seaside right on the beach, kite out the front or cruise down to the southern end of town where I normally kite, the bottom is heaps better, its a bit muddy up that end. If your still here when I get back we'll hook up.
May the wind blow its ring out for you (bet you all $100 that it does!!!!!)

lurch, not on board:

we will be there from 27th for about 10 days, so we will def catch up.

we are trekking along in a whitish magna newish model (ie not yet blowing smoke).

kites to look out for:
venom in pyschadelic yellow pink colours (flying sleepingbag)
black grey and black blue airush lift - but theyre 15s, so i doubt they'll be up

more likely little wipika 8.9, and little aqua green sleeping bag 5.0.

last time we stayes at the place lurch mentioned, that was pretty cool, so we'll prolly be there this time round too.

c u guys when we get there.
robbo.

Enjoy the wind Ladies and Gents!! Hope you all have good wind for your summer.

After a ordinary season we have our now 'off season' with 10 knot forecasts until April, plus our mates the stingers.
