Well, that was a bad idea... nothing... NOTHING... Yeah should have stayed at home and hit those green ones int he fridge earlier aswell, at least I've got a bottle of those rose ones down, and feel a bit better...

Hey, who was that guy flying a foil in 7knts wind? Did you make it to freo? looked like you were going there pretty fast I guess it's a sign when there are no kiters around, no wind, and it takes 25 seconds for your kite to reach zenith when you launch it.. It means, NONKITABLE! Points for the effort and outfit though...

I've been kiting over three years now and I'm still doing it. The key is live readings though. I don't much head to the beach these days unless it's already blowing there. If it doesn't happen those extra hours of wakefulness are good for catching up on housework...

Hi Dave,

You might speak about me if the kite you saw was a blue Flysurfer at Leighton.

It was a very pleasurable quiet cruising light wind day for me. No real excitation but good enough for my aching body (broken ribs a few weeks ago and inflamed knee and ankle from a 24 hours rogaine last week).

The conditions were good for the 13m Speed with a 132x41 board (I am around 80kg). I confidently managed to stay upwind during the 1 to 2 hour time I spent on the water. So I am not so sure why you think I was aiming at Freo

Also, please note that it is not uncommon that I am having these peaceful cruising session by myself when LEI's do not go airborne.

I also really appreciated this northerly wind in WA. You can watch the beauty of your kite without being blind by the sun!

See you with more fun when it's windier!

(Please disregard this post if you saw someone else! )
