Is there historical data for certain areas, IE St Kilda? The Melbourne Metro seems abit over the place.. does it average out all wind beacons combined?

BOM Weather Observations record historical data with all readings for all monitored stations:

This is excellent, thanks mate. Shows for my weight/board and feel from my 12m yesterday, what the bottom end of my range is like.

This is new, and gives average am/pm wind .. just click "last 30 days" on left of your states graphs page:

e.g. WA:
